Bold Font Generator — Bold Text for Headlines & Bios
Plenty of places you'd want to emphasize a word or headline don't support markdown or rich text — Instagram bios, LinkedIn headlines, Amazon product titles, marketplace listings. This is exactly where bold Unicode text fills the gap.
Because the bold characters generated here are real Unicode symbols rather than formatting applied to your existing font, they render as bold on every device and platform without needing HTML or a formatting toolbar. Alongside the straightforward bold styles, bold script and bold Gothic are included too — same underlying idea, heavier strokes for more visual weight, just with a decorative flourish instead of a plain typeface.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why isn't this the same as pressing Ctrl+B?
Ctrl+B applies formatting on top of your existing font, but many platforms strip that formatting when you save or publish. Bold Unicode text is made of different characters entirely, so the “boldness” survives copy-paste into places that don't support rich text.
Can search engines read bold Unicode text?
Search engines see Unicode bold characters as different symbols from plain letters, not as the word itself, so avoid using it for page titles or important on-page copy you want indexed for that exact keyword.
Why are bold script and bold Gothic on this page too?
They're still bold — just decorative instead of plain. If you want maximum emphasis with no flourish, stick to the plain bold or bold sans styles at the top; if you want the extra weight with some personality, bold script or bold Gothic do that too.
